OUR HISTORY
GABOL was born, like so many great ideas, at the heart of a family; a Valencian family to be precise, in 1965. Parents and children made use of much enthusiasm and little infrastructure (two simple sewing machines) to do all the work themselves: buying the materials, doing the sewing and selling the results of their efforts.
As the years went by, the business grew. Newer generations took the initiative and GABOL kept taking shape. By April 1983, the dream had become a reality. We faced the future with a solid structure, and as such we started the most exciting period of our history back then.
With the 1990 crisis came the first tightening of the belt, which resulted in the business being restructured: our days as a small craft workshop were already well behind us, and hard times need to be met head-on. We made a virtue out of necessity and, in adapting, we saw the opportunity to expand abroad and start reaching a wider market. Soon we would begin exporting to neighbouring countries, turning bit by bit into what we now are, a global reference in our sector.
More than 25 years of product development have taken us to being present in 65 countries, from Brazil to Mauritius; and from the 20 items on offer in the 70s, our catalogues now house more than 1,500 products. We have made it our business to specialize by product category, and in so doing we have given rise to one of our firm’s most important assets:
our designs.
